Thanks to partnerships between Fresh Produce Centre, entrepreneurs, chain parties, stakeholders and knowledge institutions, the sector has adopted the role of innovator in the value chain, and fulfils a leading position both in Europe and globally. We create added value in terms of quality, product range, sustainability, and fair trade chains.

The position of the Dutch fruit and vegetable sector in terms of production, import, and export is unique. Dutch growers are global leaders. Thanks to the country’s seaports and Schiphol, and close-knit logistics in Europe, the sector is a global player and frontrunner as a worldwide agrologistics hub. Fruit and vegetables are mainly sold in the internal European market, but we also occupy a strong global position for a number of distinctive products, both Dutch and non-Dutch.
